Meeting Medical Standards

Medical facilities such as doctor’s offices and hospitals have to meet a higher standard of quality than a residential building due to the nature of their use. Unlike a residential or commercial property which might have a controlled or limited set of people entering and exiting, all in relatively good health, a medical facility requires clean compartmentalized for room-to-room quarantine of contamination. No tiny gaps or unforeseen spaces must be available for germs to settle into, instead water-tight sealants and calking must be applied around all installed fixtures to cut each environment off from the next.

These photos illustrate some of our hardware installations behind the scenes of the drywall before it was applied to the framework of the buildings. You can clearly see the copper fittings and brackets used to keep all fixtures in place as well as industrial strength bolts to keep sinks and counters in place and able to take the abuse of the medical staff.
